Ask Someone...

Featured Replies

Just wanted to check as my brain is muddled together. If I wanted to say to someone in Thai "ask so and so" (like "ask Jim" or "ask your mother", which I'll use as the example) is this correct-

ถามแม่ของคุณ (or I guess ถามแม่คุณ would mean the same..?)

Is that right? Just use ถาม and then the subject's name- or I have got the wrong verb?

Yes it is just a verb. ถามคุณแม่ is how you say ask your mother. คำถาม is question the noun. ถามคุณแม่คำถาม ask your mother a question.

Yes, you have the right verb.

ไปถามแม่ (Go) ask your mother.

Cheers, I thought so, but my brain's going slow this year. Appreciate the replies, thank you.
