Check your routers manual for this, printed copy most likely won't tell you the necessary commands to configure the router apart from enabling the console connections. Crossy Posted February 9, 2011 Share Posted February 9, 2011 To use command prompt, try 'telnet 192.168.1.1' (substitute your router IP) and see what happens. You may have to install telnet (it's part of Windows but not always installed). I use it all the time as I had to disable the web interface on my router (it interfered with access to a web-server I was running at the time).
