Featured Replies

We would like to go Vietnam for 5 days, Weve booked the tickets for next week and mrs told me her PP has expired, can she travel there on her Thai ID card+housebook+bankbook, ?

Thanks in advance, Lickey,

No. But does not take long to make new passport.

No. But does not take long to make new passport.

Less than 48 hours to get a new one.

No but also make sure if you are not from an ASEAN country to get your entry visa online. There is no visa on arrival in Vietnam. Your wife does not need one.

Your wife must use her passport to travel to Vietnam.

However, Thai passport holders do not require a visa to travel to Vietnam.

Your wife will be 'stamped in' for 30 days, because both Thailand and Vietnam are ASEAN countries.

(My daughter works in Vietnam on her Thai passport, and my wife (Thai passoprt holder) is a regular visitor.

I don't go, because its about $100 for a visa each trip. :annoyed:

If your passport is not one of an ASEAN country, you will need to fork out for a visa - you can do this online.

Your wife can get a new passport within hours.

My wife and daughter both got new Thai passports within 2 hours at the passport office in Pinklao.

Very fast, very efficient. All they needed were their Thai ID card.

The rest (photo etc) is done digitally as part of the processing.

Enjoy your trip!
