Costs Associated With Learning Thai

Featured Replies

I've seen a couple of posts in a thai visas thread re Ed visa talking about costs: 25,000฿, and 35,000฿ (year), 3000฿ (month)...

Do these include all the visa costs? What is/are just the learning coats? I'll be returning to Phuket shortly and want to start doing classes and learning more. I already have an non im-o (thai wife) visa so just curious about the costs..

And learning options, I see mostly for the Ed visa people just do the 4 hours a week. Is that enough in the sence, is it a good learning pace? Is 6 better? Is 8 too much?

Ideas and thoughts?

(wasn't sure where to post, put it here since it does discuss a direct cost of a component of one visa type. I did look at the thai language thread but that seemed to be more about learning here in the forums)

The payment to school is for tuition and visa guidence/paperwork (if needed). You would have to pay for what visa/extensions are required. In your case that would not be a requirement if you wish to remain on your current entry type.

I suppose it's all in those bracketed words: if needed

I wasn't sure if it was a combined total, and hence maybe cheaper if you didn't needed, or as you have inferred, it's an added extra (if needed)...

Thanks. Back next week will look more into it then.

I wouldn't mind hearing from anyone in the Kathu area, what schools, costs, hours, quality etc.
