Has anybody got any information on, or taken up the offer promoted by this local(?) promotion company. State can offer flights to europe for 320euros, significantly cheaper than any other ie airline, promotion, they say they are able to do this because of links with local hotels and Thai tour industry, I'll reserve my judgement........p

Their brochure says they offer flights FROM Europe, with accommodation at the Camelot Hotel, Mr Macs Hotel, Caesars Palace Hotel and various serviced apartments around Pattaya.

They also say if we cannot get you a flight within 7 days of your preferred date they will refund your deposit.

Also - You must purchase a minimum of 7 consecutive nights' accommodation in a Pattaya from our online selection. (I guess this is where they make what they loose on the airfare)

Check their T&C's

Must admit I think the maxim 'If it looks to good to be true ...' applies here! Out of interest their website promoting the Thai end doesn't mention any TAT licence number that I can see, and similarly their UK website doesn't have any ATOL or ABTA licence numbers either, all of which I believe are mandatory to act as a travel agent here and in the UK. At least they were when I ran a travel business in Phuket in the 90's!

Is this the guy running the cheap flights deal? Obviously a career fraudster. I too thought it has to be a scam when i first saw it. The company is being pushed very hard by Mr Colov's TV station i see. Big adverts running. After his alleged involvement with the gold fraudster a few months ago, in which quite a few people lost their life savings, you would think he would be more careful. That guy was an Aussie as well i think.

Since I'm allowed to speak only generally, I will say this. Schemes that are too good to be true are usually scams, and media outlets that promote such schemes are morally bankrupt and will never get my custom. I will even think twice about patronizing any other advertisers on such channels. Shame on them.

Decide for yourself if the Michael Helsby Knight aka Michael Kain mentionned on http://www.crimenet.org/show_scams.phtml?id=56 is the same person as Michael Khun Knight on http://getmebacktopattaya.com/index/ourteam ... :whistling:

Hahaha. Comparing his crimenet 'cv' with his own Hans Christian Anderson cv on the Get me back to pattaya website makes for fun reading! Michael KHUN Knight? Unbelievable! He's got some front, i will give him that. And as for the full blown adverts on Mr Colov's tv station, im sure more than a few gullible souls have spunked their money on the strength of these adverts.

Exactly. Its not rocket science is it? So why is this company still trading? With the backing of the local media here in Pattaya. Even though the proprietor of the leading media outlet here in Pattaya is also a leading light in the volunteer police, whilst at the same time actively promoting this obvious scam. For his own financial gain. I cant think of anywhere else in the world where this would be allowed to happen. Unbelievable. He obviously is untouchable.

This has been highlighted on other forums. It shocks me that no in depth checking has been done by the Pattaya police or other media outlets. It sounds like a scam and probably is a scam. It is aimed at tourists, not Thai residents or expats. It wants money from people who will shortly be leaving the country, what a wonderful way to make money. The thing is that Pattaya Tourism will be the worse for it as it will be a case of nevergetmebacktopattayaagain.com. Having worked in the airline business no one company representing one city could do a deal with so many airlines at that rate. Most airlines will want the credit for any deals and will advertise on their own websites. Really smells like a rat yet I can see it carrying on for a long time before somebody in authority wakes up and smells the coffee. By then Khun K will be well away from Pattaya.

Surely there is somebody on this forum who can make the checks................or knows the right contacts to prevent this carrying on should it prove to be a scam.

LOL You must be kidding! TIT, where the scams occur by the dozens every day. It won't be controlled until the corruption in the Police and other enforcement agencies gets under control.

You have been around here long enough to know better. ;)

Good morning

A very impressive website. I have not heard anything of this previously but similar "deals" have been seen where you have to sit through a sales talk for purchasing a room share similar to Accor and others here.

Maybe you could contact Thai Airways to see if they have heard anything. We are not holding a booking on the dates shown in your name but that doesnt mean anything as nothing has been paid for the travel voucher.

Thailand is pushing to get tourists back to the area and this sounds like a district tourism office doing a promotion. No doubt you prepay hotels at a higher price to cover a portion of the airfare. I noticed that the official Thailand Tourist Authority logo was not shown or mentioned. That is another one you could contact www.thailand.net.au or phone 02 9247 7549. They may have some knowledge of this "deal"

Old story, you dont get nothing for nothing, so buyer beware as they obviously cover their costs somehow.

best regards

Now several months down the line, the last time I was in Walking Street, the organisation's offices looked abandoned....anybody any news? did anyone take them up on their offer, actually fly? or otherwise get involved with them?....amongst other things I imagine they will have had to pay a fair amount for an office on Walking....?

Dear All,

This company was really scamming people, at this moment my partner collecting all the evidence from its victims to take legal action against people involved.

At this moment the office in Walkingstreet had been closed and all the websites (Including e-mails) seems to be suspended. However we are not sure if this company or person is doing the same trick in another part ofthe country.

If anyone has some useful information or had seen similar cases in for example Phuket in the last couple of months. Don't hesitate to post in this forum in order to warn more possible victims for these con artists.

Wasn't this "enterprise" being heavily pushed by all and sundry at the Pattaya Media Group ?

It will be interesting if reports of this scam appear in one or more parts of their media empire ?
