Cj 750

Featured Replies

Guys am looking to buy a cj750 with side car, or import one from Beijing myself. I have lots of friends in Beijing and I can "pop" over to get one myself, but what are the chances of getting on with a greenbook???? Any infom thanks in advance :)

yes i know they are old, break down, BUT I had one in Beijing and I LOVE em

You could never get a greenbook via legal channels, but TiT, everything has a price :jap:

Ive noticed quite a few classic BMWs getting around Thailand ... may be easier in the long run.

Interestingly theres a "scooter and sidecar" roadside market of sorts here in Chiang Mai ... there

was a classic zeppelin style chair attached to a honda wave ... sacrilege of course but it has got

me wondering if there is someone making reproduction sidecars locally. I'll have to follow that up.

Ive seen it twice. Pretty sure it was on Wang Sing Kham Soi 1 ... look

for a red coloured (I think) tarp shading maybe 5 or 6 "outfits" on the

verge and a few more kerbside.

Is this full time or any particular day ??

I took a detour today to check it out. A dozen or so secondhand scooters

and six or seven sidecar outfits both local and european style. There was

some advertising literature for http://lantongmotor.blogspot.com/p/sidecar.html

so I guess they are a locally made item. Fiberglass body on a sturdy looking frame.

Scale was correct for scooter ie a bit smaller than a regular chair.
