February 20, 201115 yr As a newly diagnosed type 2 Diabetic I wondered if any pubs or bars in Bangkok serve Holstein Pils... As I would imagine that I'm by no means the only diabetic ex-pat, (Over 50, overweight, and fond of sweets and fatty food), I imagine that there would be a demand for diabetic lager over here.

February 21, 201115 yr Author Thanks stander, I'm more or less aware of the pro's and con's of drinking as a diabetic... But as a harm reduction exercise I'm still interested in the availability of Holstein Pilsner Larger. Surely some enterprising watering hole in Bangkok must sell it? I'm very sure that I'm by no means the only Diabetic farang in Bangkok who would occasionally like to drink more than the single bottle of beer that my doctor reccomends.
February 25, 201115 yr Do you have a blood sugar meter ? I suggest eating, then two hours later measure your blood sugar before drinking. Then drink some beers, then after drinking test your blood sugar level again to see the difference. Then an hour later test it again. What's it being treated with ?
