Song Teaw driver gets nasty

news1399-september2005.jpg

Tempers flared the other night in Pattaya between a young Thai lady and her UK boyfriend with a Song Teaw Driver.

On September 7th at 1.30 in the morning a report was filed at Pattaya Police Station by a Miss Sooksawat Koomsaduak aged 24 and her boyfriend Gerry.

She told police that after a night out at a bar in Soi 8, she and her friend went to a taxi stop and got into a Song Teaw after being ushered toward the cab by the driver. After a while, with no sign of movement the pair assumed the driver was waiting for more fares to get on board.

Some time passed, when a group of tourists appeared and the driver again invited them aboard, but not before telling the hapless couple that this was a private charter taxi, and they would have to get off.

The woman got out and asked the driver why he had not told them this when he initially invited them on board. The driver got stroppy and started to use some harsh language to the woman, so the pair went to the taxi in front and boarded it.

This infuriated the abusive driver and he followed them to the other taxi, continuing his foul language to them, eventually grabbing the woman's shirt, who by now was giving back as good as she got verbally to the man.

During the confrontation the driver caused the woman's necklace chain to break, she then pushed him with her foot causing the driver to fall onto the road, where the two made their escape to the nearby Pattaya Police Station.

Police went with the couple to the taxi bus stand and located the cab, number 662 along with the driver Pong Gorn Khem Kong aged 37, whom they arrested and they all returned to the station where the woman wanted nothing more than an apology, which the driver gave.

It seems to me after reading this story that, the UK boyfriend was little more then a passive by-stander. Wasn't a peep outa him. LOL.......DJM

This driver looks and sounds like a psychopath.

What would he have to do to lose his job?

Set the vehicle on fire. :D

Lose it in a poker game. :o

Take off from the scene like a mad man next time and crack the engine block. :D

Drive from Pattaya to Phuket in a straight line. :D

Give change back for a 100 to a farang :D

Accept 5 baht from a farang :o

Allow time for passengers to sit down before speeding off :D

No - you collect the fares from the other passengers, he negotiates a price for a group booking of up to five persons.

This is just the sort of thing that makes Thailand such a joke in the eyes of the world, local services which double as nothing more than daylight robbery.

shameful behaviour
