Nisa
If there was a better gym in this area it would likely be more crowded. You might think about changing the time you go if possible.

cwldanny
Thanks for the help Ritti, will check it out. Not really into the classes the bigger gyms offer or yoga, just want weights, squat rack and other basic lift equipment.
StateSix
There is a decent gym in Waterford Diamond condo, soi 30/1. Decent set of free weights, squat rack, usual machines and never used to be too busy when I used it. http://www.balancehealthclub.com/

This poster should check with other condos too in the area if this one is not suitable as a number of condos let you use their facilities if you pay a small fee per use as opposed to paying for membership. mauiguy90
Try the Windsor Hotel on Suk 18/20. They have a Clark Hatch facility on the 14th floor with pretty decent free weights and some machine weights as well. Membership includes use of the swimming pool, which can be great during the hot Songkran season. You can sign up for 7500-8000 baht if you tell them you want the day membership, which allows you access if you enter before 5 pm. If that doesn't work for you, tell them you know Herb (old time member there) got his membership for that price. Just keep in mind that they are really looking for members there, so don't sign up unless you get a decent price.
grumpyoldman
I don't know if it's been finished yet but there was a new fitness center going in just behind Los Cabos Mexican off Soi 14. Met a guy at The Los Cabos bar who was putting it together.
thinkthink
Just worked out the Clark Hatch gym at Windsor Hotel almost a month ago. The hotel facilities looked great but not the gym. Mainly gays (their mannerism confirmed it ><) and students (University I think) in it. Used towels, socks and shoes were all over the place in the locker room. 1st time will be the last. Cheers!
