TyGrr
Hi quick question. I have a work permit and the 3 month visa from Loas that helped me get this work permit. From my understanding I need to go to Immigration with in the month before and show them I have the work permit to get the visa extended until the work permit ends. Sept 30th. However the University told me that I do need to do this but I do not need any paper work from them. The last school I was with they sent a large amount of paperwork and even had to send a member of their staff with me because some of the work was wrong. Can I just show up with the work permit and ask for a visa? I know I need to pay around 2000 baht. Thanks in advance.
Mario2008
You definitely will need paperwork from the university. Just showing up with a work permit is not going to do it. The cost is 1,900 baht for an extension of stay.

Mario2008
They better call immigration to ask, as it differs from immigration office to immigration office. You will need at least: - work permit - letter from employer - contract - teaching/work schedule - map to place of work - health certificate - tax documents showing you are paying your taxes - possibly copy of degree - copy passport and arrival card

thailandbluegrass
In real, Any half decent Uni or school should go to Immigration with you and help. Just ask them if their HR Manager can assist you. Where in Thailand are you?
