New Visa By Mail

Featured Replies

I read somewhere here that few people send their passports to the embassies with visa application for new visas while they are still in Thailand. I am wondering is that still possible or not.

My situation is like this. I am going back home for a month, and to get my new visa which is ED. but my boyfriend is on tourist visa. he just got his second tourist visa from Kota Bahru, with 1 entry only. Since i read a lot that now embassies in abound countries are limiting the number of tourist visas and issuing only with 1 entry, I tried to find that post with getting visa by mail. Since i will go going home, and getting new visa for myself, i was wondering if I can take passport of my boyfriend with me to get a new visa for him. I know that he shouldnt be in the country without a passport but I read that few people did like that. So i am not sure how that works with stamps of getting out of the country and getting in.

I am just wondering is that possible or not, not trying to do anything illegal or to give some other idea.. I am just trying to make possible for my boyfriend to stay as long as possible in Thailand.

thanks...

In addition to risking jail any visa so obtained would not be valid if issued by mistake. That can only be done when stamped out of Thailand or having a second passport.
