6 Month Ed Visa Required

Featured Replies

Hi,

Looking for recommendations on a place to sign-up for group classes in order to get a 6 month ED visa. I am interested in a class that does not have a huge time commitment and is inexpensive.

Can anyone make some suggestions at what schools I should look at? Thanks for your time! :)

There are some advertising right here on Thai Visa, Walen as an example or try doing a Google search for "language schools"

www.thailanguagesolutions.....Provided me with visa and classes to suit my schedule...small classes.....I ended up being the only one in my class although I paid for group..

If you need only 6 months, why not get a double entry tourist visa?

It gives two entries of 60 days, each entry can be extended by 30 days. No need to follow a course or pay for it.

Normally people come to Thailand on a tourist visa and find a suitable school here. It is not until you pay for the course most schools will give you the required paperwork for an ED-visa.

Thanks for your response.

I am currently in Thailand on a double entry tourist visa which expires on Apr. 22 at which time I will extend for another 30 days. Would I need to wait until just before my current visa expires (May 22nd) to leave Thailand to a neighbouring county and apply for another Double entry Visa? Can you suggest a country that might be easier to obtain this 2nd double entry tourist visa?

Thanks again for your time!

Getting back-to back double entry tourist visas is getting difficult. Cambodia might be the best place, especially if you use an agent.

See for summery here:

Only two countries issuing double entry visas and lots of reports from people saying they can no longer get a visa in Laos.
