At least 25 killed and over 100 injured in Pakistani gas station bomb attack

FAISALABAD, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- At least 25 people were killed and over 100 injured during a bomb attack at a gas station in the northeastern region of Pakistan, local media reported Tuesday.

The bomb attack took place in a compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Faisalabad, Pakistan, which is located in Punjab Province, after an explosive-filled vehicle detonated, destroying several cars and damaging nearby buildings.

DCO Faisalabad Naseem Sadiq told the Express Tribune that the incident was a terrorist attack although the material used in the attack has not been determined.

With the gas station left in rubble, rescue and search teams continue to remove heavy bricks and use cranes and machinery to remove metal, fearing the death toll could continue rising. The injured are being transported to Allied and Civil hospitals.

Meanwhile, Faisalabad Commissioner said the attack may have originally targeted a government building close to the filling station, which is surrounded by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence and military offices.

Maybe they should turn Raymond Davis loose and let him get back to work.
