Visa Run After 30 Day Extension

Featured Replies

hey everyone,

been in thailand since nov. with a multiple entry (2) tourist visa (u.s.a.) and renewed with an extension for 30 days after using my second.

can i make a mae sai run to get another 15 days when my 30 runs out? and does that fifteen days starts on the day of reentry or can i go a

day or two earlier and get the renewal starting the day when the old extension runs out? one more.... when does the free tourist visa offer end?

thanks!

thanks khun jdietz!

Mai sai is fine for 15 day visa exempt entry.

Just to cut through all the confusion...

You won't get an extension on your visa.

You will leave the country, and then re-enter, getting a 15-day visa exempt stamp.

This can be done at any international border.

As mentioned above, you aren't extending or renewing anything, your permission to stay is finished when you exit Thailand. Tourist Visas are free until March 31st, if the visa exempt entry periods aren't long enough.
