What Burmese border points are we able to get stamped out and then back in to Thailand?

Is it still only Mae Sai in the far North and a boat from close to Ranong?

Don't suppose the 3 pagoda pass is open for people who needs stamps out of and then back in to Thailand?

I so want to go to BAGAN on my next trip. I also want to wander up country in Thailand a bit, but for safety sake, I don't think I will loiter near the border regions. I will just fly into Burma. Heck, got to fly back in to Thailand anyway in order to get the 30 day visa. Might as well book a round trip from BKK.

3 Pagoda Pass

Irawaddy news reports that villagers have fled the area, and that Government troops and karen rebels are in conflict.

Appropriate: if you know the answer, please share with us. Actually, there is nothing bad about contributing to the common knowledge.

Unfortunately until the Three Pagoda crossing is upgraded to international status it is not possible to do a visa run there. Mae Sot was still closed as of last week too.

I was at Three Pagodas Pass a couple weeks ago. The border there is definitely closed.

Mae sot is still closed, and does not look to be close to opening. It is now been closed for close to a year.

Even when it is open you can't do a visa run there. Only allowed a visit to the nearby Burmese market I believe.
