+1 on the tiger retro sport. Love it! Question though, I notice the kickstarter. Will it be kickstart only will it be available with an electric start?

Hi Submaniac , it has both e-starter and kickstarter , just like the Retro 110C ( cub-version)

The Retro Sport has a manual clutch ( actually it is something called "easy clutch") 4 gears, runs on benzene , e10 & e20

mbox

E-Starter was the magic word... now to convince the better half!

Hmm a 9 ltr tank is great....i am running my retro 110c with up to 50km/ltr E20...meaning with a 9ltr tank you should be doing more than 400km a tank.

LOL - Still no X-Road 250...Sachs, what a joke.

"Be available on Jan 13"... and pigs will fly...

here some reading for you:

sachsnews.jpg

there will be some x-roads 250 available likely in May , not sure if they are carrying a "Sachs" logo , nor is it certain if this will be a permanent sold Bike.

The Sym Wolf 125/150 Clssic look interesting, but the engines look really dated Japanese copies, and you just cannot compare against the Honda CBR150/250 in terms of engine technology. The Hondas look very good value in comparison?

the Sym Wolf SB 125 Ni indeed looks nice but a 250cc would be more attracting specially as it weighs 155kg !:

DSCF1019.JPG

The Sym Wolf Classic 150 does look nice too ...still 121 kg on a 150cc may just be a bit too weak.

Motorshow starts officially today. 25th March

23 March was VIP Day (more a rehearsal day i'd say)

24 March was Press Day

I was there on 23 March at noon for a few hours ....still some arranging and building going on... some stands had their bike still covered ( stallion for instance) other manufacturer i didn't see at all ...Lifan, Zongshen/Ryuka, Ducati, Triumph ...maybe they come later?

I was also told that Honda was not ready with their stand ...so the pics i made was from that moment and you may see more today the 25th March

mbox

I'm pretty sure it's at BITEC not Impact.

But you are welcome to go to BITEC where the 31st Motorshow did happen ...this year it is the 32nd Motorshow and that is happening at Impact

How extensive is the SYM dealer network in Thailand? I'm a big fan of their products in Taiwan, but would be hesitant to purchase in Thailand unless their dealer network is better than I think it is. (I've never seen a SYM dealership anywhere in Thailand.)

250 pics and only half a dozen of the pretty girls :ermm: , too many bikes at this girl show.

This is a MOTOR show. NOT a girl show. I'm glad the presenters look more like presenters this year unlike the previous years' sleaze show.

Boxer 250 EFI = nice :D

Upon closer inspection:

Rear not monoshock design = not nice :(

Old style console = not nice :(

Yoshimura pipes = nice :D

I hope it's still a prototype and the release model will have more improvements.

The Yoshi pipes will cost more than the bike :) (joke)

Dont think you will see Yoshi on these bikes just to good and to expensive for stock bike,, me think

I went to the motor show today.

I really liked the Stallions, especially the Gio 125. It looks like a Honda Gorilla, it comes with green book and costs around 35.000. Good build quality and very cool parts for customizing.

I asked them how many hp they have, but the guy said they haven't put it on a dyno yet...strange...huh.gif

Anyone knows more about this bike/company (technical info, reliability, quality etc)? Would have loved to test it, but not possibleermm.gif

edit:

found the website

http://www.p-bike.net/index.php?lay=show&ac=article&Id=539105296&Ntype=4

and the brochure from the show...

3 years/30.000km engine warranty

electric+kick start

3 versions: 50cc auto clutch 36.500Bht

125cc auto clutch 38.500Bht

125cc Hand clutch 40.500Bht

Mezcal did you see the larger bike from Stallion too? It look a little like a shrunk version of the XR1200 ? When i saw it it was still covered and thus why no photo.

Stallion Bikes are parts imported from China and assembled in Thailand by Tiger Motors .

Hope that helps,

Yes, I saw them.

They all seem like a 3/4 version of the original. One looked like a classic style Yamaha SR400, one like a HD XR and one like a Yamaha TW with large balloon tires.

To be honest, I wasn't very interested and I don't think I even took a picture...

The BigBull KingKong Z1 looked very nice too, but about 56k if I remember correctly.

Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki.... disappointed, lots of scooters and plastic bikes...booooring

Kawasaki...great range of bikes, from road to mini to off-road to adventure....well done
