Hi,

for the first time on a tourist visa and i want to extend it for 30 days.

- What do i need to extend it? Passport? Pictures?

- Where can i extended it? Im based in Sathorn.

You need to take passport and 4x6cm photo to Chiang Watanna, Soi 7 immigration office and pay 1,900 baht for extension of stay after filling out TM.7 form. The immigration office is and end of soi on right side and immigration office is at 1st floor entry level at the south end (you can turn right and end of soi if using taxi and have them take you to that entry).

Thanks - any idea how long that usually takes? Should i plan a whole day for that?

It will depend of queue. Could be a few minutes or hours. Best to go early midweek (as they close 12-1300 for lunch).
