Ping
The toilet lids in two of my bathrooms won't stand up because the wrong plastic screws and nuts have been used. Not a problem for women, but a bit inconvenient for us blokes. Yes, I know the entire lid assemblies do not cost an arm and a leg, but when I only need the correct screws (with flat heads), why pay the extra? I've tried a couple of small plumbing supply shops without success - does anyone know if they can be bought separately and if so, where? Thanks in anticipation of the cheap charlie comments! petercallen
I had the same problem with one of my toilets, try reversing the fittings that attaches the seat to the toilet bowl, it worked for me, it allows the seat to swing back further and stay up. Ping
You're right, it's the seats that are the problem, not the lids. Thanks, for the tip, but unfortunately the reversing trick doesn't work for me.
