Flying into Luang Prabang in 2 weeks time for a short holiday.

For UK passport holders what is the cost in US$ for adult and children? Is it the same? Do I need passport photos or just fill out a VoA form at the airport?

Thanks in advance for any help.

call the loas consulate in khon kaen, 043242857. i was there last week, very helpful.

i was in and out in ten minutes with a loas visa. 1,400 baht for a u.k. passport holder.

they did not want dollars.

$$$ are fine at the Friendship Bridge and I'd expect they'd be OK at LP, too, given the number of international pax they have arriving there.

Cost same for kiddies.

Photos, yes, one for the application.

Sitting here in Luang Prabang so I can answer my own questions.

Visa on arrival cost for UK citizens $35 same as US folk. Same price for kids.

$1 "service" fee at LPQ per visa.

To save time at airport download visa on arrival forms for each person. Kids cannot go on parent's form unlike going Into Vietnam.

Need photo for each family member.

Seems Lao Airlines only hand out arrival/departure cards and customs forms, not visa on arrival forms. At least that's what happened yesterday on flight from HAN.

Hope this is useful to other UK families heading for Laos.
