BAGHDAD, IRAQ (BNO NEWS) -- Two civilians on Tuesday were killed in two explosions as bomb terror attacks continue in Baghdad, the Aswat al-Iraq news agency reported.

In southern Baghdad, a sticky bomb was detonated in al-Mahala 840 region in al-Doura. Authorities said that gunmen attached the explosive to a civilian car. The blast occurred as the car was travelling through the city's streets.

The driver of the vehicle was killed and a passing civilian was injured as well. The explosion also caused material damage. Authorities said that the cause of the attack is currently unknown.

An improvised explosive device (IED) was stuck to a civilian car in West Baghdad's Four-Streets Square. The driver of the vehicle was killed and three civilians were injured.

The wounded civilians were transported to the nearby Yarmouk Hospital for further treatment. This week, Baghdad has witnessed three blasts, including the ones of Tuesday.

On Monday, an IED killed three people and injured at least 11 more. The explosion took place in Jisr-Diala district, southern Baghdad, an also caused damage to a vehicle.

Bomb attacks continue in Iraq, mainly targeting security forces but most of them resulting in civilian deaths.
