webfact Posted April 19, 2011 Share Posted April 19, 2011 Phuket navy base assists Krabi flood victims Phuket-based sailors build a bathroom at the temporary shelter set up at Chong Mai Reservoir,Klonghin subdistrict, Ao Luek district, Krabi. PHUKET: -- Officers from the Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command in Phuket distributed relief packages to people suffering from floods and landslides in parts of Krabi earlier this month. Group Capitan Parinyatham Pulpitaktham, head of the Disaster Mitigation Center’s civilian affairs and public relations department, led the effort to badly hit locales from April 12 to 17. Areas receiving assistance included Nong Talay, Tabprick, Klongya, Klonghin, Ao Luek and Plaipaya. The servicemen also installed toilets for homeless victims taking refuge at a temporary shelter set up near Chong Mai Reservoir in Klonghin subdistrict, Ao Luek.
