The girffriend's coming over to UK again on a 6 month tourist visa and this time we've been invited to Italy and Spain so that means Schengen visa as well as UK tourist visa.

Anyone got experience of either Italian and/or Spanish embassies in Bangkok?

Which one is likely to process visa application quicker?

Which one is more likely to give Schengen visa to UK tourist visa holder?

Can the visa be forward dated? Invites to Italy & Spain are at the back end of her trip, conscious that Shengen visa only valid for 90 days/3 months so forward dating somewhat crucial.

Cheers for any help, much appreciated.

Not sure my answer would be totally relevant.

I am a london based spaniard and live here with my thai wife so not being a girlfriend it might be different I could not tell you but I know that

Although I am a spanish national myself my wife only gets a one year visa, my mate a brit also married to a thai lady applied on the italian ambassy and got a 2 year schegen wich would seem to indicate the iralians are easier.

Also I remember a couple years ago my wife's mate also a thai (but she had an indefinite leave to remain in the uk) applied for the schengen visa at spanish ambassy and only got 2 weeks worth of visa !

On your other question I think the visa can be forward dated, they always ask me when do I want the visa to start.

Good luck and have a good time !
