Tinned Curries

Featured Replies

For many years i used to buy tins of curry meals, green, yellow, matasman, red, chicken ,beef or pork

just add some onion,a chilli, maybe some potato and I had a tasy quick meal, the ones I am looking

for where about same size of a tuna can, unfortunately I cannot remember the brand, they where 21bht,

then jumped to 32bht, and lately cannot find at Tops or Rim Ping, the only one I can find now is the

Mae Ploy brand, smaller can ,cheaper 21bht ,and meat contents not so good.

so if anyone out there has seen any , would like to know.

kind regards Worgeordie

Yes, I also bought them for many (many) years.

Always kept a stock in the cupboard - came in very useful.

Have not seen for some time.

Not in Tescos - which used to have them - nor Rimping.

Agree, Mae Ploy brand smaller and not so good, not so many varieties either.

These also I haven't seen for a while.

Anybody got any news of the tinned Thai curries?

Also, the Thai brand of corned beef and corned pork has disappeared.

For a treat, the cat used to like those.

Coconut is getting scarce mainly due to flooding but also to a general decline in coconut growing in favor of other activities, such as producing vegetable oil for fuel.
