6 Month Visa

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I am a New Zealand Citizen residing in Perth Australia.

I plan to travel to thailand for 6 months towards the end of the year.

The purpose of my trip will be to travel around, maybe train some mma/muaythai.

Also to check out other parts of se asia, but i will be spending most of my time in Thailand.

What visa would be best suited to do this?

Two entry tourist visa would allow up to 90 days with extension on each entry.

how would this be six months?

A double tourist visa is two entries: each entry is 60 days and each entry can be extended by another 30 days. So 60+30 days leave the country and retun and get another 60 + 30 days.

How would i go about getting one of these visa's if you dont mind me asking?

Apply at a Thai Embassy/Consulate in Australia.

Just appply at a Thai consulate for a double entry. The consulate in Perth is gone, so you will have to use another one, like Brisbane: look for their webiste and contact them. Most allow applying by mail.
