A new air conditioned Airport bus, providing services between the city and Phuket International Airport, is now in service for passengers to and from the airport for the first time. Launched to provide more options for consumers, the bus service was inaugurated on October 1st by Phuket Vice Governor Nirund Kalayanamitra and Phuket Maha Nakorn company executives. The new service, expected to be popular among passengers and tourists, will be leaving from and to the Phuket bus terminal, going past the Provincial Hall, Surakul Stadium, Big C, Boat Lagoon entrance on Thepkasattri Road, Thalang District Office, Pearl Village Hotel entrance and end at the airport. The maximum fare is 52 baht. It is scheduled to run about 26 times per day.

On Tuesday 4 October, there is no Andaman News program, due to a national broadcast from the mobile cabinet meeting.

On Wednesday 5 October, Andaman News has a funny but also sincere interview with Keith Floyd, a famous chef from the UK, who is setting up 2 restaurants and a cooking school for underprivileged children here; plus we also have a special report about a water safety program for kids at Le Meridien Phuket resort.

On Thursday 6 October, we plan to have a live interview with the Governor of Phuket, Udomsak Uswarangkura, about various issues.

On Friday 7 October, we may have an interesting interview with a famous resident of Phuket, who is has designed some of the best hotels and villas on the island.

Andaman News is usually on air Mondays to Fridays, at 8.30-9am, in English, with local news, reports, interviews and weather forecasts on local TV Channel 11 (VHF dial, not Cable) in Phuket, Phang Nga & Krabi & on Radio Thailand FM90.5 in Phuket.

I hate to be a cynic, but Keith Floyd is a drunken has-been, who may just be seeking to resurrect a flagging career.

(On the other hand, perhaps that's what I should do....)

Great idea, if you live or holiday in Phuket Town ! What about Patong, Karon, Kata, Bangtao, Rawai...... :o

Oh I forgot, cant upset the limousine drivers ! :D
