There is no time limit.....She can apply again on the day she returns if she wants

gburns57au is correct. However, applying within a relatively short time may raise suspicion that the applicant is not intending to visit Australia as a genuine visitor only. It is therefore highly advisable to state the reasons for wanting a further tourist visa and submit supporting documentation to back it up. For example a travel itinerary. Also note that multiple tourist visas that allow the applicant to stay in Australia for an extended period of time may be seen as the applicant attempting to obtain de-facto residence through multiple tourist visas. In any event a second tourist visa should not be a problem. Good Luck.

thanks for all the replys,me and my gf have been talking and we were thinking of getting married when she comes out here on her second tv and while she is here applying for a partner visa that way she doesnt have to go back as she will get a bridging visa until a decision is made on her partner visa(this is if they do not put no further stay on her tv) i really appreciate everyones comments thanks again. we thought of doing it this way as it could be a way around the fiance visa and us having to wait 10 months as is the new waiting time apparently and she would have to be back in thailand

Did she have 8503 on her first visa?

Secondly I would not be telling DIAC of her/your intention. That will certainly ensure 8503 is imposed.

no didnt have 8503 imposed and for sure i wont be telling them my intention but what do you think do you think it could work.just have to hope she has no further stay put on second 1 too because that would cancel that idea and then would just have to do fiance visa and wait 10 months

I am not sure what the policy is for mulitple tourist visas but my girlfriend just got her fourth tourist visa in the last four years...first a three month and then two twelve month ones and the last one two weeks ago was only a three month one even thou we wanted a twelve month one.

Who really knows how they decide?

For visitor (TR) visa 3250 baht plus 660 baht service charge to VFS. We were told 7 to 10 working days but got it in 4 days.
