Freelancing In Thailand, Cont'D...

Featured Replies

Thanks to everyone who has offered information & advice on my earlier post regarding doing freelance work on a retirement visa (and its visa 'extension') So far it's been good info, although quite a cause for insomnia. I am most concerned that my g/f could dash off an anonymous letter to immigration here, complete with my PP pages, visa info, home address (made the mistake of moving her into my place, not hers), and copies of correspondence with my 'employer' that also indicate I've submitted pieces to him and that payments have been made (also made the mistake of leaving my email password unguarded). What's the liklihood, in anyone's experience or opinion, that this could get both me and my 'employer' into hot water at least as far as visa extension goes? Mine's up for renewal in a couple of months...

Hell hath no Fury like a Thai Girl scorned..........etc etc.

Not a lot to do about it now, seems too late and the risks were taken.

Just keep the head down, be more discrete in future, take precautions and so on.

FWIW the chances of her 'splitting' on you are slight, unless you did something to really p!ss her off, and if you did I am sure she would have done something straight away, not wait till your renewal.

Good Luck Mate
