Hi People,I am planning to work for a Singapore based company working ad hoc in the Asia Pacific region. I would like to base myself in Bangkok. Could some one please advise me what type of visa I would need? Many thanks, (British person currently living in Middle East).

Thanks for the reply, the company does not have an office in Thailand and I will be working offshore in Vietnam/China. I will only wan't to reside in Thailand when i'm not working.

You would not need a Work Permit if all your work is genuinely EX-Thailand. The most desirable Visa/extension arrangement would depend on your ratio of time spent IN- vs. EX-Thailand, age. etc.

Are you over 50, married to a Thai, study in Thailand or can invest 10 million baht.

Else you can only get tourist visas.
