katabeachbum
I picked up a 50 inch Samsung 720p for 25k a few months back in Power Buy The 42inch was only 18k yepp, 25-27k baht for 50" Samsung or LG plasma. Much better picture than LCD, especially response time, but produces rather much heat Power Buy in Home Depot or Home Pro or Central or Jungceylon

BaliHai
Where in the tropics do you live, that you need cental heating? just curious.. He is saying that the tv acts as a heater, not that he wants it to. I just recently bought a Samsung LED 3D, and love it so far. It has a small bezel and the picture is really good. I have only owned LCD's so can't compare to Plasma, but it doesn't seem to give off too much heat. Still a little warm to the touch.
Valentine
Easy to check the heat as the display units run all day. I have noticed differences between brands for the LCD/LED units. Although LED is more expensive I am aiming to buy one of those, probably Samsung Smart TV although not 50" as I want it for the bedroom which is not too big. I have 42 inch and does give off some heat for sure, but not so much that it effects the whole room to any degree.
