I am curious as well. CAT ADSL is over a much larger area than you would expect, not sure about CABLE though. They don't seem to advertise the fact though.

Can you down load .rar files torrents on CAT? Or been banned like on TOT ?

Hi, Unsure about downloading those files, but they have told me unlimited downloads,,, and better stll just been told they are offering us a 7 day free trial, signed up already,,, could'nt refuse that, i'm currently using a HSPA stick and used both Dtac and AIS with limited success although Skype is a no go or at best very poor quality with the dongle stick,,,,,,, usng the dongle with Dtac in Pattaya this morning I was receiving a download speed of 181kbps and an upload speed of 56kbps,,, although I don't have much idea about this but I used the speedtest from thaivisa, my home location is about an hour north of BKK so I will report back with a speedtest result from the free trial once return home.

Hi, just to update ran a speedtest on this catnet service, averaging an upload speed of 384kbps and download speed of 7811kbps, doesn't make much sense to me those figures(maybe someone can clarify) , all I can say is that it seems fast enough for my needs and I have already tried skype on it and it seems fine, clear video and although a little interference at the other end I put this down to the receiver box sited too close to the computer although this will be eliminated if we choose to take out the package after the free trial as they will provide a free router if we sign up to a 1 year contract.

Hi Johnny,

See my posting about CATCDMA about 6 minutes ago. Hope it will be of use. I am very happy. Suggest you never try TOT IPSTAR.

Hi max, thanks for the update, I did refer the information in your post to the installation guys from CAT and asked about the Cat cdma, but they said this Catnet cable would be faster,,,, i'll be honest and say I don't really have much idea about all this and relying on ifo from those that know better, sorry I noticed an error in my initial post, I said 690baht/month when in fact its 630baht/month including vat for the Catnet service,
