Does anyone know where there is a store that sells metal tubing? Preferably stainless or aluminium (the shiny stuff )so it wont rust?

Go across Nawarat Bridge heading away from the old city.

At the second traffic lights after the bridge turn left onto Bumrungrat rd.

Head north looking out on your right hand side.

There is a shop house style place with racks of stock metal.

They have stainless steel tube for sure.

If you look around town there are lots of places selling stock metal.

But not to many carry stainless & ally.

Lots of galvanized steel pipe tho, might be a rust free option.

Global (within tool section by the conduits, not out the back) and Home Mall (second ring road) defo have it. This tubing (not piping) I've seen at these places goes from about 20mm up to about 50mm, with the 25mm about 300 baht for 3m. Not sure about Home Mart and Home Pro, think they both have galv pipe only. Beauty of going to the big places is they also have all the knickknacks you can pick up.

That shop Pondlife mentioned sells only stainless tube but will cut to size you want. There is another shop nearby (it's a maze, the owners of this place can give you directions) that has 3mm-wall aluminum tube from 2" on down but sold in 6m lengths only. The stuff at the building supply shops is thin wall electrical conduit.

Thanks for all the help everyone, have you ever seen these places carrying 3"- 4" tubing?

How's about engineering (or aircraft) grade aluminium stock (flat 3/8" to 2") and cds tube 1 1/4" OD..??
