Featured Replies

Hi,

I quit my job a few days ago because my wages werent paid on time and the worst case is they delayed my pay for two months and the bosses incharge went bothered about it.I had to struggle to get paid the last day of the months after a long time withou pay.My question is,I got a new job but I dont know how to go about the visa and work permit issue..Since my visa and workpermit arent expired I dont know how to go about this please advice on how to go about it and what documents I need for both coz I understand I need to change both.kindly advice

thanks in advance

Are you on a 90 day visa entry or an extension of stay from Immigration? If extension of stay it expired the day your work officially ended and you need a letter from former employer to present to Immigration and any time in country since then is overstay at 500 baht per day. Hopefully you are on a 90 day visa entry and this will not be a factor. The work permit also has to be returned before you can obtain a new work permit for the new job. So first issue after that is application for new work permit with the new job paperwork and if qualify for extension of stay get that or a new visa entry when required. Basically the same process you had to perform for the first job.
