June 17, 201115 yr Hello, I'm thinking of moving from Pattaya to Bangkok and I was wondering if anybody has any knowledge of options regarding jogging in Bangkok. In Pattaya, I like to jog along Beach Road which is a nice scenic run and you get a nice cool breeze off the ocean. When I was living in the U.S., my health club had an indoor track and I guess this is something that I am looking for in Bangkok. The only place that I can think of for outdoor jogging would be Lumpini Park but I would have to take the Skytrain to get there so that would not be an option since I plan on living around the Silom Road area. Any information regarding health clubs that might have an indoor track would be helpful. Thanks. Edited June 17, 201115 yr by TBKK
June 18, 201115 yr Where on Silom Road are you going to be staying? Lumpini Park is right off Silom Road.
June 18, 201115 yr I can't think of a worse city for jogging. The best spot is probably Suan Rot Fai park, but this is a long way from Silom. Lumpini is just too crowded and noisy most of the time. Best bet for exercise in Bangkok is to try to find an apartment with some exercise machines and/or a pool. Keeping healthy in Bangkok is an oxymoron. Have you seen the article in today's edition of the nation newspaper regarding pollution levels from dust?
