gerry53
My understanding from my standard traditional thai massage place it is a 50 - 50 split so the girls would prefer to do an oil massage for 200 baht an hour (it doubles their income). On the more upscale posher spa type places you pay more for better surroundings so the percentages may be different with the higher percentage going to the owner who provided the nicer facility. The girls also help out cleaning doing laundry etc.
OZEMADE
My friend from England goes out with a Masseur when he comes to Pattaya. She has to pay her employer 50% of her money to him on a daily basis. If she takes time off to go out with my friend she had to pay her employer Bt200 a day. That was to keep her job when she is not there. Much like a Bar Fine. So her employer dosen't lose at all. Parker1973
I was talking with the girl giving me an oil massage last week and she told me that she got 100 baht from the 300 baht charged for a one hour massage, thats why most will ask if u want 2 hours..... vont
do not believe everything you hear, here or elsewhere or in the massage rooms. generally the split is around 60/40. 40 for the ladies/men. 60 for the proprietors who also provide supplies et al. but there are exceptions for those who are highly qualified and certified and experienced, the split may go up to 75/25, in favor of the employee. if the proprietors know the persons well, the split may go 50/50, also. cheers Edited June 21, 2011 by vont
