Non Immigration O Vs Non Immigration Os Visa

What is the difference between the two types Non-Immigration O and Non-Immigration OA visa?

I want a multiple entry retirement visa. Don't both types have to be renewed annually?

an O is a general category and can be used for a number of resons,an O-A is a retirement visa issued in your home country.

The is also an "extension" based on retirement applicable to the O which is .issued within Thailand

O-A in your home country requires Police reports and medical amongst other criteria.

An extension based on retirement to an O visa has the financial requirement to be met, but does not require the Police or medical reports.

The "extension" and O-A requires reporting every 90 days to immigration.
