Any Reports On The New Lady Dermatologist At Ram1?

A friend just told me that there is a new lady dermatologist at Ram 1 and I would appreciate recent reports on her. There used to be the best Dermatologist in Asia [Dr V?] that is no longer with Ram and the 'quack' dermatologist that has always been there, i don't trust from past experiences.

Any recent reports??

I had an appointment I made two weeks in advance for another dermatologist. When I arrived he was off for the day and I wasn't notified. <_<

Was informed there was a new lady dermatologist and she had been working in Bangkok. Was told to wait 30 minutes and I would be seen by her. 1.5 hours later no one in sight but no surprise since I had no appointment with her so decided to leave for another time.

Plan to make another appointment soon and will be asking for her but if someone has experience in advance it would be useful to know.

Went in with a non-cosmetic problem and no appointment and saw DR' CHATBONCKCICH KHEMACHBEWAKUL after only a short wait. I assume "sick" people are put ahead of cosmetic corrections.

Dr Chatbonckich (her/Ram's spelling) is a young female doctor, so that may be to whom your are referring? She favorably impressed me with her diagnosis and treatment. I would go back if I had to.

Thanks Noise....Ram 1 still has liquid nitrogen?? That's what seems to work best for me. The former Dr V? [forget her name] was the most experienced in falang skin problems of any derma dr in Asia, as she actually practiced in the US and knows our problems and the damage that the tropical sun can do.

Siri Chiewchanvit, M.D.

Associate Professor

Faculty of Medicine

Chiang Mai University

Chiang Mai 5000

Clinic:

199 Thanon Moon Muang - near Sompet Market

He is the best there is. Practiced in the USA and speaks perfect fluent English. He has clinics at Ram and Sripat although I think I read on here that he is only doing surgery at Ram now or maybe he has a clinic there once a month.

I can't find his card right now. Call Sripat and get his number. I don't have time to wade through 15 pages of google hits on him looking for his number.

Edit: Found a number for him on another thread 053 357085. The search function works wonders.

RAM does still have liquid nitrogen.Dr Vachiraporn was the best I have encountered, in Asia ,and I,being high risk, have to go every three months for a check up. Dr V will be back, currently in California with husband and baby, but not for another 18 months.

re ... elecrtrifieds .... 199 Thanon Moon Muang - near Sompet Market

here .... 150 yards to the left of the cafe ... right next to the car lot

But, does he have liquid nitrogen??....the stuff that is usually not available outside of a hospital that 'freezes' the unwanted thingies off our fragile falang skin.

I can't make it any more clear. He has clinics at Ram and Sripat. I think all hospitals have liquid nitrogen. Why not call him and ask him?

Isn't that what these forums are about?? sharing info and experiences and we all know how frustrating a phone call to a Thai can be, so that's why I asked that simple question......You were promoting the guy and I just asked a simple question and your answer is 'give him a call'.......easily done in the west, but not so easy here.

Thanks....

I'm not promoting the guy. I just made a recommendation for a good dermatologist. I don't think he needs promoting. I believe he is very successful. But I've never been zapped with nitrogen before so I can't answer the question. But the Doctor speaks perfect fluent English so I don't see the problem of calling him and asking him. Also the lady at Sripat who answers the phone on the 13th Floor speaks very good English and will help you too.

That stuff is amazing, the lady doc used it on my head a year ago at Ram. So if you want it...go to Ram

Just returned from a visit with the new lady dermatologist in Ram 1 and If you thought that Dr V was a beautiful and good dr, You will be impressed with this new Dr. CHATBONCKCICH KHEMACHBEWAKUL. more beautiful and quite thurough and cheap as well. She froze 4 or 5 thingies off my face and charge for liquid nitrogen was only 240thb on top of her consultation fee of 300. Checked me out all over and that was quite fun. I would highly recomend her, but challenge you to pronounce her name........

That's around the same price as I have paid to Dr Vachiraporn, every 3 months, over the past 2.5 years.Usually I average 15 freezings per visit.Dr Chalbrmpong, male Dermatologist is also at RAM but considerably more expensive.Have no idea why there would be a difference.. After your glowing comments on her physical appearance no doubt her visitations will increase, hopefully she has the experience to go with the looks. Freezing, after diagnoses, the vital component, requires an element of experience and skill, its not just a matter of pulling the trigger. Surgical removal and scrapings, for patholgy might also be required

Using nitrogen to zap keritoses is common anywhere.

According to Jaideeguy, going to see the dermatologist apparently has a better happy ending than getting a massage on Loi Kroh.

Why am I glad this thread is not devoted to protology ?

Hey Dave - I would have thought you could take a shot between 5-6 pm, when all those pretty little things are crowded together in his waiting room. wink.gif

Didn't think that she was that beautiful.

She froze about 10 spots and did an inspection, bill was 2,600 Baht. Consultation 500, liquid nitrogen treatment 2000(300 baht per spot discounted) misc 100.

I will be checking our Sripat hoping for a more reasonable price.

5200 Baht for what seems like a simple procedure...

Dr. Siri did laser surgery on me for 2 hours straight using a state of the art laser. Total cost: 2,000 Baht. Not a single scar anywhere. He has a clinic at Sripat too.

You've misread it. The total bill was 2600 Baht. The item in bold is the bill tally.

Ahh, yes you are right. I missed the period after 2600 Baht. ;)
