June 27, 201115 yr Hi all, looking for some advice regarding Visa notes in Thailand. I'm planning to get a 30 day note upon arrival from London, before heading straight to Vietnam. I will get another 30 day note on return from Saigon before heading south to the islands. I will then fly to Phnom Penh before returning to Thailand by land from Poipet giving me another 15 days. I am then flying to Luang Prabang before re-entering Thailand via Vientiane/Udon Thani, giving me another 15 days. Is this an acceptable way of re-entering Thailand? I'm aware that you can't amass more than 90 days on Visa notes and I think the above will work out ok, however 2 years ago I had a very small overstay and am now paranoid about doing the same thing! Cheers for any advice. Edited June 27, 201115 yr by swagger
June 27, 201115 yr The limit of 90 days visa-exempt stay in Thailand within 6 months was abandoned over a year ago. Therefore, no worry there. The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
June 28, 201115 yr Be advised that the airline might refuse you to board if you don't have a visa or ticket out of Thailand within 30 days.
June 28, 201115 yr Author Be advised that the airline might refuse you to board if you don't have a visa or ticket out of Thailand within 30 days. Thanks for the advice so far. I am only in Asia for 5 and a half weeks so I presume my London return ticket would suffice to allow me to board any planes into Thailand?
June 28, 201115 yr As you will only get a max 30 days entry you should either have onward ticket within those 30 days or a visa. If you have the Saigon ticket you should be fine for initial arrival and probably later but you did not specify dates or if you hold tickets.
