How To Get Replacement Of Lost Drivers License

Featured Replies

Have anybody any experience in how to obtain a re-placement drivers Thai license when lost (or stolen :o )?

My guess is to bring all the stuff (to be on the safe side) one used to obtain it and a police report of the theft.

Cheers!

No experience, but if you still have all the docs, it would be a good idea.

I would have thought that a police report would be enough.

I would think they have a record of your DL at the location you received it.

Off topic slightly but ....... Just a suggestion.

I scanned both sides of my DL into my computer and can at any time print out a copy, cut it out and have it laminated at any photo shop. So I have several copies. Few police will notice or object if/when you are stopped. And it is perfect for ID at a store or the airport instead of a passport if flying locally.

Furthermore, I store the scanned images at Google so, even if my house burns down it (and all other important documents like Marriage Cert, Birth Cert, College Degrees, Passport pages, etc, etc) are easily retrievable.

JFYI

Paul - good tip. You bet I will do the same...this time.... Cheers!

report to police, take the copy of the report and 2 photos, pay the fee, receive your license 1 hour later.
