Hello all,

I need an English solicitor who knows Thai law and can carry out legal work in Thailand OR a FLUENT English speaking Thai solicitor (they must speak good English to understand the complexities of what I need to do) Can anyone suggest a name and tel number or web site?

What is it you are planning to have done that requires a lawyer. And where?

I agree with the above post. If you want an answer that is worth anything, you will need to specify the subject of the legal advice.

There are a number of sponsors of which I think Isaan Lawyers are one.

Sebastian speaks good English. Maybe not a lot of use if you are in - say, Phuket.

As already mentioned lawyers specialize in different areas of the law.

My Lawyer is Thai, has his own practice in Bkk for maybe 20 years, I guess 15 Thai lawyers on staff, did his initial traineeeship in a high profile international law firm, speaks and writes very advanced English, very pleasant guy and very thorough.

He is very selective of new clients, he won't work for clients who engage in 'slippery' activities. Insists on talking with prospective new clients then making his decision whether to accept the client. He doesn't charge international law firm rates but he is far from cheap.
