Out of experience is it better to transfer funds in Thai Baht (Conversion in London) or Pounds Sterling (Conversion in Thailand)?

I was told exactly the same, and having spoken to the staff in London they are very helpful and well informed. I am just waiting for the pound to strengthen. Could be waiting a while!!!

I have a Nationwide Account and I would like to know the procedure for transferring funds in sterling to my Bangkok Bank Account here in Thailand via the Bangkok Bank London and the charge for doing so.

If I use Bangkok Bank London to transfer sterling to BB Thailand what are the approximate cost. At the moment the Nationwide charge me £25 to do direct transfer in sterling to BB Thailand
