Meter Taxi'S In Ubon

Featured Replies

The wife told me that taxi's now are in operation here in Ubon,

but they are not allowed to wait at the airport for passengers

from incoming flights.

I was surprised to see some taxis driving around Ubon, but last week saw some posters advertising metered taxi service; a welcome addition to transport facilities here for late night socialisers I should think.

On this website you will find the tel. numbers and taxi rates:

The meter drop will start ticking at 30 Baht and then according to mileage. If you call for pick up there is a 20 Baht service charge.

I read somewhere they are not allowed to wait for passengers at the airport, but you can always call for a taxi to come to the airport.

Anyone already has experiences with Ubon Taxi?

Thanks for the info Chris.

I have called them for some customers in my shop over the past month and they have been very prompt in their service. Nice new cars, aircon and much cheaper than the tuk tuk service. There are two taxi companies here now, number for one of them is 0894216040.

Good, prompt, reliable service. They charged me 50% extra to get to my home in Warin (pre-arranged with the dispatcher) but it still worked out cheaper than the Airport companies.
