Psychatrists In Thailand

Recommended Posts

Doe anyone know how much a psychiatrist in private practice would make in Bangkok annually?

To my knowledge I got different answers. Fees ranging from 3000 baht per hourly consultation to 1000 baht just get a new medication which takes about five minutes. The later would sum up to about 10000 baht an hour for the doctor.

Could a psychiatrist in bkk make a good living?

How would he do in comparison to other doctor specialists and in comparison to a general practisioner?

Many thanks.

Robert

Did you consider that you need a Thai doctors license to practise in Thailand.

But under ex-pat clients he could make good money. It is my understanding that most Thai psychiatrist only have about 20 minutes for a client and prescribe medication. Treatment is done by psychologist/therapist.
