Wrong Headline! The real news here is that a 30,000 baht bribe didn't work. I wonder what the whole story is?

I have heard that some police are now paranoid about being set up for taking backhanders, both here and in Bangkok. If they could have been guaranteed walking off with it without any consequences, I'm sure the outcome would have been different.

Also, now they know the guy or his family are good for 30K as a starting negotiation, the sky's the limit on the final negotiated outcome.

The suspected thief was using his t-shirt to conceal his face during the robbery which revealed a distinctive tattoo on his back.

Not the sharpest tool in the box.
