August 5, 201114 yr a friend of my wife wants to visit her friend in the uk,she lives in thailand with her husband who is irish[southern] can she apply for a visitors visa,3months or can she have a 6month one,she holds a thai passport, what is the cost, and can she apply on line.
August 5, 201114 yr Author We deal with Southern Irish visa applications she requires a C-Visa 90days. our friend has a 5year visa for southern irland,so would it be easier to fly to dublin then apply for a visa to visit her friend in the uk,she has done this once before but that was over 4years ago.thanks for the reply.
August 5, 201114 yr Author just checked tv the form she needs to apply for is a general visitors visa is v a f 1a.is this correct?
August 5, 201114 yr She applies using form VAF1A. She must apply online. It will be valid for 6 months. She cannot apply in Dublin as she is not resident in the RoI and must apply in Bangkok as she is resident in Thailand. See How to apply.

That is 100% correct - My Mrs had to do the same when she came to Ireland and then we travelled to Scotland. Thats going back a while though.
