How Can We Find Out What Innoculations To Have

I'm from the UK and have been wondering where I can find out which ones to get and how often etc. I'm happy with my local private hospital whenever I need treatment but not sure if farangs need to get anything different from Thais - what with our bodies not as hardened to life here as the locals, I thought of NHS Direct in the UK(for Non-Brits that's the government National Health Service advice line) but then I have the feeling that they tend to think of 'holidaying' here instead of living here, but could be wrong.

The "usual" vaccinations for Hep A, Hep B etc should suffice but then again depends on where you stay or where you intend to travel to. Japanese encephalitis is recommended for extended exposure to the border regions with Cambodia and the bush in that area.

Much more relevant, for long term stays in Bangkok would be Rabies. Typhoid, Cholera is relatively rare in Thailand but would be recommended for extended travels to India with exposure to rural areas and food.
