Sukda The Mechanic

I know that I have written about this man previously however yesterday I had an experience which I really do want to report here. I was driving my vehicle towards Jomtien when suddenly the motor started making a noise and all the little red lights came on. I was able to park and , since I know absolutely nothing about cars, I rang Sukda. He resides some distance out of Pattaya however he arrived with 30 minutes and soon discovered that a rubber radiator connection had broken. In less than 30 minutes he had everything repaired and I offered him 500 baht which he refused. I insisted he take something and he asked for 100 baht for petrol however I finally persuaded him to accept 200 baht.

This man has been looking after my vehicle for 5 years and I have recommended him to several people who have all had positive experiences. It is such a joy to find honest people like him here when we foreigners constantly have such bad experiences.
