Another Yellow Song Thaew Accident

Just for the information of users of the "Yellow Songthaew" (locally called "yellow mini-car") from CM to points NE including Maekhachan and Wiang Pa Pao, there was another major accident involving one yesterday just west of Maekhachan.

A yellow apparently collided with a small truck close to the Wat Pratart Maejedi road. The death toll is confirmed at three with multiple serious injuries.

There are two types of "yellows" - one group has Wiang Kalong on the side; the other Doi Saket. The Wiang Kalong yellows ply through the mountains between CM and Wiang Pa Pao only - they do not (normally) provide inside-CM service.

Of course, this IS Th..... and some people see "reds" everywhere...

Would it be wiser to use the red ones?

My point was, are the yellow songthaew drivers worse than the red, blue or white ones. ;)

They were all taught by the same teacher NOT, probably all self taught, hoping for the best, not to have a accident.:D

Don't really think it makes much difference (white red, blue, etc) with one small difference - the red ones normally stick to CM and thus "normally" drive slower....
