I second what Drew Aitch has said. I am currently being treated by Dr. Morgan and find her very professional and up to date with her medical knowledge, she has picked up on a problem the Australian Docs missed. Highly recommend her.

And a third vote from me too. smile.gif

I would not hesitate to recommend this doctor. He is so professional and offers a range of services far below the usual farang rip off charges from other agencies. He is attentive, knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. And he also speaks excellent English!

Not only has he been able to diagnose some things as negative that major hospitals have failed to diagnose for me and my wife, but also several other people that I have recommended visit him, have left extremely happy with positive answers as opposed to the big hospitals who diagnosed incorrectly purposely or otherwise ...(one can never be sure) and all for the sake of making money through another humans' misery and pain, whereby they recommended surgery that was not necessary( in the view of those patients that visited him and after many visits to many so called "top class hospitals)

So call him and turn up and judge for yourselves. It only costs a maximum of 200 baht to find out for yourselves.

I have known Dr Tawachai for very many years and he is a very good doctor, knows his stuff and does one heck of a prostate exam.ohmy.gif

I would still pop into his clinic for this and that, or even for a second opinion. His clinic is always choc a bloc full of runny noses and he is so busy that he's running from room to room every five minutes. I like Dr Tawachai, I respect his knowledge and as you say the price is right. There is just something about Dr Morgan that is more comprehensive (more expensive sure) and I felt much more at ease with her, able to spend more time to talk and the clinic is spotless.

Yes, I now prefer Dr Morgan, but I would still use Dr Tawachai. smile.gif

i heard from my pharmacist, today, that Dr. Greg is out of country for a year or so... perhaps calling Sripat would clear that up?

I asked for Dr. Greg a couple of weeks ago at Sripat and was told he'd returned to the US for a year but would be back at Sripat sometime this coming year.

Dr Morgan is also our family doc

and happy with her so far, though had nothing major yet :)

It pains me to recommend Dr. Morgan. As has been said earlier it is going to be like the 90 day reporting. She is my family Doctor also.

It is like having a old fashioned Country Family Doctor. She will even make house calls if needed.

I purchase my medications through her. She is honest and I know when I get some thing from her it is a quality item. She went through every thing I was taking and told me if it was OK or not. There was a pill I was taking that she did not know so she called up there maker to see what was in it. I took the pill because I was told it was good for the joints. It was locally made and she found out all it had was a mild pain killer and did nothing to help my knee.

I was recently in North America and she told me to get one of my medications there because it was cheaper. I had been taking Niacin for my Cholesterol with minimal results she ordered it for me from Bangkok and it put me in the normal range.

Yes I can honestly recommend her. But don't tell any one else about her.

Any chance of a fuller explanation regarding your Niacin prescription. I ask because I had been taking Crestor to lower cholestetol but stopped because it gave me cramp in my leg muscle and I was afraid it might progress to something worse. A doctor at RAM told me if I didn't continue taking the Crestor she couldn't help me. I don't take it though.

Look at it this way, if her practice is successful she will hang around, instead of moving somewhere else.

She is one asset I'd rather see stay in Chiang Mai.smile.gif

I agree with you. He is excellent and used by many ex-pats. He has sorted out a problem with my foot where other Doctors at Hospitals had failed

I had heard that Niacin would reduce cholesterol. The Niacin I was taking was hard to find and not that strong. It is very hard to find here in Thailand. Dr Morgan was able to get some decent Niacin from Bangkok. It has worked for me. It took a bit of time but I am now in the normal range.

I am not sure which one of the B vitamins it is I think 6. It is in the b compound tablets but not in enough strength to really make a difference. Niacin can give you a unpleasant flush so it is best to get the buffered kind.

One other thing my uncle is on a strict Atkisin diet and eats a lot of cholesterol. He says that Red yeast rice is controlling it nicely.

Good luck

Many thanks for that. I'll probably have a word with this good doctor everyone speaks so highly of.

Niacin has been hailed by many experts as a wonder drug and an organisation like Pfifer or Roche would pay a fortune for the sole distribution rights - but they cant. biggrin.gif

Did Dr Morgan manage to get you the 'flush free' Niacin?
