Razor Blades

Can anyone direct me to a place that sells razor blades near the BTS, preferably in the Asok or Victory Monument area? So far I've checked Big C, Watsons, Villa Market and haven't found any. Thanks!

Beauty salon supply shops stock them, there are a couple around the Saphan Kwai BTS station, probably around Victory Monument as well but I don't know that area well.

I saw them in Boots at Sun Tower, maybe they will have in other branches.

I bought a pack of 6 Gillette razor blades at Tesco Lotus yesterday for B49. I've also seen them for sale in Big C (Big C brand) for B27 /pack of 4.

Gippy, where exactly at Saphan Kwai? That is close to me.

Not 100% sure, between the BTS and Big C I think, on the opposite side of the road to the Big C. Look for stores with salon chairs, hair dryers and those stripy poles outside. There is also a store on the same side as the Big C, walk past it down to the first main junction and take a left, about half way down there is a small supply store on the left hand side.

I haven't bought any from there but I'd be surprised if they don't stock them, salons use loads of them for eyebrow shaping and we buy them in a big box by the hundreds.

Tokyo @ MBK have them on the 4th floor where they sell Sissors and other hair products.

Usually i buy them off the street, or at a marked, normally the street vendors that carry small stuff like batteries, nail clippers etc have them.

the brand is Dorco, and usually 5 blades for 20 THB

You may be very right but I think you may also be thinking about a different type of razors that beauty salons use that looks like these but are actually much duller and used for removing the hair on your neck by hand (without a handle on the blade).

Thanks guys made a successful purchase at MBK today, had no problem finding the section or the razors. Got 50 Dorco razors for 180 baht.

While you're using those up, keep your eyes peeled for a beauty supply shop. Larger ones carry a variety of brands including Lord, Feather, Astra (SS and SP), Dorco, and Gillette. The best buy is the Astras, 100 for about 150 baht. Excellent blades, and a steal at this price. Feathers (Japan) are sharpest but significantly more expensive.

Last I checked, Thailand seems only to have the old Dorco 300s, not a very good blade IMO. The 301s I hear are much better--maybe that's what you got.
