Recycling Centers Near Sukhumvit 42

What do you mean by recycling centers?

Take a walk down Suhumvit 36 (I think) and there are huge depots buying paper and metal. There are always people selling stuff there.

As I said I think it's Soi 36 but it's the one that goes all the way from Rama 4 to Sukhumvit.

what do you want to recycle? , and arre you after the money when recycling?

if you are not after the cash in , leave it outside your condo / house in black bags, clearly open so people can see inside ie water bottles, cans or bottles and it will take probably 10 mins - 1 hour and it will vanish

if you are worried about separating your household rubbish, what you probably don't realise is that when the rubbish is collected, usually in the dead of night, the garbage men will break open the bags and separate things out there and then for you.

Anything recyclable and of value will be removed and sold on. Done just about everywhere.

Many thanks to everyone to reply, its kind of odd I used to sort out my rubbish or send it to the nearest recycling area.

That means there is a huge amount of poverty in Bangkok! Does any charity organisation in Bangkok raises money through recycling?

in one word no .......... all low class incomes, or those with incomes do it ..

in my last condo, the night time security guard used to collect all of it and sell it in the morning

@Boater yes probably have not visited that many places, I am currently holed up at a service apartment in Lang Suan so just like Buddha was surrounded by his worldly pleasures I find that I am surrounded by it somewhat right now.

Will be moving out to Sukumvit area pretty soon to get a place for myself. Thank you for the information.
